
Dr. Barry Elbaum graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and completed his four year Oral Surgery Specialty Training Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Elbaum currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Monmouth Medical Center where he has been Chairman for the past eighteen years. He is a past President of the Monmouth/Ocean County Dental Society and has served as Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Jersey Shore Medical Center, CentraState Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center.
He is a Fellow of both the American and International Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Elbaum founded the practice and has been caring for area families for more than 38 years. In addition to oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Elbaum’s special interests include dental implants, biopsies, impacted wisdom teeth and medically compromised patients.
As Chairman of the Dental Department at Monmouth Medical Center, Dr. Barry Elbaum was the recipient of the Pinnacle Award from the Center. This is the highest honor to be bestowed on a member of the dental profession and the Medical-Dental Staff. Dr. Elbaum founded the Dental Education Program at Monmouth Medical Center.
Dr. Elbaum is married to Libbie Elbaum. The couple are proud parents of Dr. Gayle Elbaum Krost, Dr. Jeffrey Elbaum and Rochelle Elbaum Matalon and, also, proud grandparents of fifteen grandchildren.
